“IF YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM A BAD MAN’S
INJUSTICE, FORGIVE HIM – LEST THERE BE
                                    TWO BAD MEN.”
                                                                                              ST. AUGUSTINE

When I used to read articles like the St. Augustine quote I would want
to stick my finger down my throat and gag myself! I know, it now sounds pretty pathetic! I have had to struggle to not want to “get even” or “bring to light” that person’s wrongdoing.
When an injustice is done do I still feel that way? At times.
What I do now is to turn it over to the Lord, let Him show me the way He
would want me to handle the situation.
“For you, O Lord are good and forgiving,
abounding in kindness to all who call upon you.”
                Psalm 86:5
Don’t get me wrong. I just don’t let everything slide. If there is some way
I can rectify the issue, in a Christ like manner, then I do speak up. If what
I may want to do may bring out an ugliness on my part I may have to hold
my tongue or keep in check my actions.
As the quote says, “Forgive him.” Yes, I know that can be difficult, but ask
the Lord to help you. Or, say the Lord’s Prayer and pay close attention to
the words, “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who  trespass against us.”                       (Emphasis mine)
The more you practice forgiveness it will become easier and part of
your faith walk.
