“WHAT DOES LOVE LOOK LIKE? IT HAS THE HANDS

TO HELP OTHERS. IT HAS THE FEET TO HASTEN TO

THE POOR AND NEEDY. IT HAS THE EYES TO SEE

MISERY AND WANT. IT HAS THE EARS TO HEAR THE

SIGHS AND SORROWS OF MEN. THAT’S WHAT LOVE

                                  LOOKS LIKE.

                                                                         ST. AUGUSTINE

Many of us probably have read or know 1Corinthians 13 telling us what love is…Love is patient; love is kind; love is not jealous…..,but St. Augustine gives us a visual of love.

I feel he is telling us we need not look any further than ourselves to show love to our fellow man. Perhaps take some time in the next day or so and look at yourself in a mirror. Look at what God has equipped you with to share His Love. You have the arms to give another a much needed hug, shoulders for someone to lean on, hands to help feed someone who cannot feed themselves. Eyes that say, “ I understand.” He has made us with His Love.

Couple 1 Corinthians 13 with The St. Augustine quote. I think after doing so John 3:16 will have either a new or deeper meaning to you.

“Yes, God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that

whoever believes in him may not die but have eternal life.”

That, my dear friends, is His Love that we can see and feel.
